Conejos County Housing Authority

We All Need A Good Home

Established in 1976, Conejos County Housing Authority (CCHA) is a political subdivision of the State of Colorado, formed under CRS 29-4-503, that is responsible for addressing housing deficiencies in Conejos County, Colorado.

The agency currently operates public housing units in the towns of La Jara, Manassa, and Sanford.  Home sizes range from one to four bedrooms, are maintained to the highest standards, and are of very high quality.  Residencies include neighborhoods of detached family homes, and communities of single-bedroom apartments.

A board of Commissioners who are important leaders in their communities volunteer their time to provide oversight, wisdom, and guidance to the agency.  Per Colorado law, members of CCHA’s Commission are appointed by the elected County Commissioners.

CCHA’s Executive Director, Karen Hinojos, is dedicated to the goal of expanding the county’s number of quality affordable housing units, to job development within the county, and to creating new programs to enhance the lives of county residents.  The agency staff members are friendly, skilled, and extremely knowledgeable about housing.  CCHA is committed to serving Conejos County, because we all need a good home.
